Agricarbon Launches European Hub to Meet Growing Demand for Reliable Soil Carbon Measurement

Agricarbon, the leading provider of direct measurements of soil carbon stock at scale, announced today the launch of a new hub in Continental Europe. Located near Warsaw, Poland. The hub marks the first permanent Agricarbon presence in Europe, allowing the company to increase the efficiency with which it delivers its soil carbon quantification solution and meet growing demand from new and existing international clients.

Agricarbon’s unique service provides high-integrity, decision-grade primary data for the needs of internal carbon accounting, GHG (Greenhouse Gas) inventories, carbon markets, and natural capital investors. The company’s soil sampling and automated soil carbon analysis are designed specifically to meet requirements for both insetting and offsetting protocols, including the IPCC’s recommendations for soil carbon measurement and Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) guidelines, ensuring that Agricarbon’s European partners conform with the emerging GHG protocols and EU standards for carbon removals. Agricarbon’s measurement service is also being used by project developers under major international soil carbon protocols, such as Verra and BCarbon.

European Soil Carbon Measurement

This exciting move comes just as there is a pressing need for a scalable solution that can accurately and consistently quantify soil carbon – and detect changes and differences – across different farming systems, soil types, and geographies. Uniquely, Agricarbon has a proven ability to detect small changes in soil carbon stock atthe single-farm level as well as at larger project and landscape scales. Agricarbon’s cost-effective service is already attracting growing international interest due to the reliability and harmonisation of its data across farms and regions. The Scottish company has already measured carbon stock across thousands of hectares in the UK, Ireland, Spain, and Romania, with multiple new projects in Europe commencing over the next months.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first European Hub, which will allow us to increase the efficiency of our operations across Central and Eastern Europe,” said Annie Leeson, co-founder, and CEO of Agricarbon. “Our unique service has proven to be a game-changer in the market, and we are excited to bring our expertise to new and existing clients in the region.”

Agricarbon’s new hub is the first step in the company’s plan to expand further across the continent, as well as to other regions, to meet the increasing demand of a fast-growing market.
